Our Work
Our work is centered on helping athletes flourish in every area of life. Through teachings, we equip them with a philosophy of life rooted in truth and identity. Through experiences, we create environments that turn pressure into a crucible for formation. And through pastoral care, we walk with athletes in pivotal moments—injuries, transitions, and relational milestones—offering presence, guidance, and support.
Teaching & Curriculum
Our teachings are built on the AIM framework—the foundation of our 12-week curriculum and the thread running through all we do.
Athletes engage this framework through “bands”—small, trusted groups of 2-3 athletes who commit to journeying together through teachings, reflection, and accountability. In these spaces, they face transitional challenges like injury, identity shifts, or performance pressure with honesty and support. By combining Biblical truth, reflection, and identity work, we equip athletes to aim their lives toward flourishing.
In addition to curriculum and bands, we also create space for growth through chapels, preaching, and teaching opportunities that challenge athletes to anchor their lives in truth.
Pastoral Care
We offer pastoral care specifically for pivotal moments that include: injuries, transitions (starting a career, being traded, or retiring), and relational milestones (dating, marriage, parenting, grief, and loss). In these defining seasons, we provide presence, guidance, and spiritual care so athletes can remain whole and flourish under pressure.
Experiences
We design transformative environments that shape athletes beyond the game. Our retreats and off-sites provide five-star spaces to cultivate deep reflection and relational bonding. Through our mission experiences and community outreaches, athletes expand their purpose beyond performance and embrace a life of compassionate action.
The AIM Framework
AIM is a practical, repeatable path that helps athletes aim their lives toward flourishing instead of misliving—right now, in the crucible of sports.
-
Awareness
Self-awareness is the starting point: knowing God and knowing yourself. Without awareness, athletes drift into misliving. With awareness, they see where their impulses, desires, and identity are truly rooted.
-
Intention
Athletes learn to aim at their highest ideal: who they want to become as men, husbands, fathers, and followers of Christ. Intention answers the question, “Who am I becoming?”
-
Move
Awareness and intention mean little without action. Through practices and disciplines, athletes take concrete steps that align their lives with their true north, forming habits that carry beyond sports into every season of life.
Pastoral Care
Every athlete faces defining moments—times when life doesn’t pause for the game. Injuries, life transitions, and relational milestones are not just events; they are crucibles. In these moments, a man can either be crushed by the pressure or dig deep and grow into the kind of person God is shaping him to be. Wholehearted Sports offers pastoral care so athletes don’t face these seasons alone. We provide presence, counsel, and spiritual guidance to help them remain whole and healthy, turning pivotal moments into opportunities for formation and flourishing.

In practice, this includes chapel services, biblical counseling, premarital counseling, weddings, funerals, and baby dedications.
